Easy Peanut Butter Bites

Since the beginning of April, I've been making small, sustainable changes to my lifestyle to become a healthier version of myself. Everyday I've been drinking 64 ounces of water and walking 2-3 miles a few days each week. For breakfast, I usually make scrambled eggs with bacon, cheese and salsa on the side. Now, I'm experimenting with smoothies and overnight oats. I've been loving how I feel so far!

Feeling great about myself doesn't just include the mental and emotional aspect, which I've dedicated a lot of time too. Now the physical piece needs to be taken care of. I've approached this change with the mindset of "you only have one body, make it a thoughtful, wonderful experience." Instead of counting calories and obsessing over numbers on a scale, I simply listen to my body. If I'm feeling bloated or full, I listen instead of reaching for one more chip.

I frequently snack in-between meals so I've been looking for healthier alternatives to my personal weakness... Cheez-It Crackers. I found this super simple Peanut Butter Energy Bites recipe from Chef Savvy and let me tell you, it was a hit! The best part is you only need 5 ingredients (I used 4 ) and most of us have these items already.

All credit for this recipe goes to Kelley from Chef Savvy. Make sure to check out her blog for the directions and more tasty recipes!

Ingredients I used:

peanut butter
cup of chocolate chips
tablespoons of honey
old fashioned oats

I like mine cold so I put them in the freezer and it tastes amazing!  Try it out and let me know what you think!
